Drone Roof Inspection vs Traditional Inspection
For decades, roof inspections meant ladders, scaffolding, and a lot of caution. Drones changed the game — but they haven't replaced traditional inspection in every situation.
Speed
A drone can survey an entire residential roof in under an hour. Setting up scaffolding for the same job takes a day or more.
Cost
Because drones don't need scaffolding, the cost of the survey itself is dramatically lower — especially for taller buildings.
Safety
Nobody has to climb. That alone removes the biggest risk in the traditional approach.
Accuracy
Modern drone cameras produce close-up 4K images and can capture angles that are physically hard to reach on foot.
When traditional inspection still matters
Once repair work starts, a roofer still needs to physically access the roof. Drones are the diagnosis; skilled trades are the treatment. Skyline offers both.
